Dr. Zackary Brown was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he grew up as the oldest of three boys raised by his mother. A 2012 graduate of Hirschi High School, Zackary finished in the top 10 of his class and became the first in his family to earn a high school diploma. He went on to attend Vanderbilt University, graduating as a Top 20 Senior with a double major in Neuroscience and Medicine, Health, and Society, with a concentration in Race, Health, and Inequality. He later earned his Doctor of Medicine from Howard University College of Medicine in 2022, where he distinguished himself as a campus leader and advocate for underrepresented communities in medicine. Following his residency at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital in New York City, Dr. Brown now serves as a Pediatric Physician at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He is a published author on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and continues to champion equitable access to healthcare while training the next generation of physicians.
